Waste Management

Waste Management

One of the main lines of work developed in the environmental area is that of Waste Management, more specifically solid urban waste management. This is followed by industrial waste management, construction and demolition debris management and management of different types of special waste.

Waste wanagement is a highly complicated process, and we offer our services in all its different phases, whether in the planning phase, the development of Master Plans for public entities, or the drafting and execution of the facilities and infrastructures necessary to achieve the objectives set for their correct management.

The Solution

In terms of industrial waste, our efforts have been focused on proposing an efficient, economically viable management solution which is respectful to the environment and in accordance with the company’s needs.

We also have extensive experience of comprehensive urban waste management, our work being characterised by the criteria of reduction, recycling and re-use and close collaboration with private and public entities in the sector.

Master Plan

Master Plan

Our company has carried out viability studies, plans for selective waste collection, transport and treatment and advice and assistance for the processing of subsidies and financing from Public Authorities. Actions carried out include:

  • Master Plan for urban solid waste management in Huelva Province.
  • Provincial Master Plan for urban solid waste management in Seville: construction and demolition debris; non-toxic and non-hazardous industrial and agricultural waste.
  • Master Plan for inert waste management in Cordoba province.

Urban Waste

Urban Waste

We have drafted and directed numerous projects for waste facilities in the phases of collection, transport and treatment within the management cycle of Public Authorities, including:

  • Sealing of large municipal landfills.
  • Burial of containers.
  • Official collection points.
  • Transfer plants.
  • Selection and composting plants in Utrera (Seville), Montalbán (Cordoba), Alcalá del Río (Seville) and Los Barrios (Cádiz).

Construction and Demolition Debris

Construction and Demolition Debris

The debris from construction and demolition activities constitutes one of the major sources of waste in advanced societies. Its production and volume, well over that of domestic urban waste, poses a major management issue.

We have been pioneers in the treatment of waste of this kind, drafting the first construction and demolition debris management plans, such as those for the provinces of Cordoba and Ciudad Real. In addition, we have designed and executed the works management of the infrastructures necessary for the recycling and assessment of this kind of waste.

Special Waste

Special Waste

We provide solutions to the problems generated by other kinds of waste related with different production sectors such as the agricultural and agro-industrial sector, developing a range of projects, both public and private, for their treatment, study, management and assessment.

One of our most recent projects, in the Seville countryside, was the design of the facilities of a Processing Plant for Animal Byproducts. This complex, which also generates electrical energy, has an annual treatment capacity of 45,000 T/year.

Industrial Waste

Industrial Waste

One of our key new projects is the Industrial Waste Management Centre in Los Barrios (Cádiz). These facilities provide the industries located in the Campo de Gibraltar Area with an infrastructure equipped with the latest technology to enable the due environmental treatment of hazardous waste generated in one of the country’s most important industrial enclaves.

The construction of this Centre has enabled an increase in the management of waste generated in the zone from 50% to 85%. Not only has this reduced transport operations of hazardous waste, thereby favouring and improving the economic viability of companies located in this area, it also reduces the environmental risk associated with operations of this kind.

The plant has a treatment capacity of 73,000 T/year.
